2true Fast Dry in ‘Shade 2’ - these guys could outdo Barry M in the exciting names stakes…

I am wearing/blogging this one outside of the sequence I had built up in my head. It would have been next week’s post but for two factors. Firstly, next week is election week - no way do I want to walk around during a UK general election with blue nails! Secondly, it is the first week of term, a week which has the potential to call me into work every day, and there is double-plusly no way - not a dare, a bet, a tradeoff, a pay rise or even extra coffee - that I would wear blue nail varnish in a crowded university Politics department during a general election. Just. Not. Happening. So on it goes this week. I don’t think it is a Tory blue, to be honest. If I had to equate it to anything but the sky and pretty flowers it would be the trains that go through my village.

2true is a very cheap Superdrug brand - no item is over three quid and you can get pretty much any three items for £5. In the normal scheme of things I’d fight shy of their nail varnish, as my nails tend to have to look neat for work and last a few days. However, I fought even more shy of spending any significant amount of money on a pale blue nail varnish - however curious I was about wearing such a thing - since it is not a colour I would necessarily wear for work or want to keep on for ages. This nail varnish has not confirmed my prejudices - the formula is a lot more impressive than the two 17 polishes I’ve blogged about recently. I ended up just putting on one coat. You can see what that looks like in the pictures - complete, non-streaky coverage. Also, I’ve had it on for a few days now and it is starting to get tip wear, certainly nothing major. To keep with the election theme, I guess the moral of this story is that I should be less of a bigoted woman about cheap nail varnish…
