17 Lasting Fix in Parma Violet.
This is my second attempt at pastels, following the success of Barry M’s Mint Green in convincing me that they weren’t that scary. This is one where it will take a couple of days’ wear for me to make up my mind whether I like it. It is a sort of pinky-purple pastel, which I had great trouble getting an accurate picture of. I will be wearing it with blues and greys, which will make it stand out more, and wearing it at work to expose it to other people’s opinions should they care to express them. Hopefully nobody will mention pepto-bismol or Windolene though!
I’m also not 100% convinced by the claims that this will last up to 5 days, or that it is chip resistant, as other 17 polishes have not lived up to similar claims. As far as application goes, it is a bit goopy and the first coat was streaky, but it smoothed out with a second coat and dried ok. And after all, it only has to last a couple of days this time…
