My friend Priya (if she had updated her blog in the last two years or so I’d link her! - As it is I’ll settle for a mention) brought me back a stick of kohl when she went to India on a research trip. We’ve been goth makeup buddies for a while now (and I finally get her to come to a goth night with me tomorrow…) so it was a good thing to get. I’m still getting the hang of the thing at the moment.
One thing it does NOT do is a thin, dainty line. That’s fine by me, I have other things I can use for that. It also doesn’t have brilliant staying power on its own. but I’m hoping primer will help. It gets slowed down by getting eyeshadow on the tip, and speeded up by a bit of a wipe with a tissue (hence today’s rather overdramatic look for a day in Norwich!). I need to work out how to sharpen it - any tips?
For this look I started with the lower lid, drawing a line from the inner to the outer corner. I made sure there would be a point at either corner. I then did the top lid, completing the points. The line was a bit jagged, so I blended it with a small brush, smearing a thin layer over the lids so it didn’t look as stark. (Because I’m a grown-up goth rather than a teenage one, haha)
