Good and bad things
More pretty pics soon I promise! In the meantime, here are a few (beauty-related) things that rock and a few that suck this festive season:
Rock:
-Superdrug Vitamin E skin oil - the one thing keeping my face hydrated this month when all else has failed!
-Tesco Finest ginger bath cream
-Sparkly dark red nails - I have quite a selection, some of which have yet to be blogged!
-No7 Protect and Perfect, this is the time of year when it is really useful…
-Superdrug Vitamin E sparkly body lotion - not a really obvious glitter, but great when it catches the light. I feel like a character from Twilight…
-Dry shampoo and festive up-hairstyles, because too much washing removes the oils that protect hair from the elements
-And heat protection hairspray, because no way am I not blowdrying when faced with sub-zero temperatures!
Suck:
-Tesco Skin Wisdom peel-off face mask - smells like fancy loo-cleaning liquid, feels cold and clammy, and did it peel off? Er, no…
-Superdrug acetone-free nail varnish remover - the huge quantity involved and the extreme level of scrubbing required was probably rougher on my nails than pure acetone, and it stank of nit cream
- My nail-growing experiment biting the dust a week earlier than I’m happy with. I whacked the end off one with a potato peeler, and the others took it as their cue to snap and splinter. They’re back to medium length now…
-Winter hair - too high-maintenance!
