The beginning of the end (of this term)! Blogging here may tail off for a while as I attend to packing, returning essays, writing a chapter, spending time with my boy and generally alternating between being (nearly-)demob-happy and OMG-ing over how much needs to be fitted in to a few days! Anyway, the end of term means parties, which means excuses for makeup, and this is the look I came up with for my work’s end-of-term dinner last week. (I also entered it for the Superdrug contest linked in the previous post) There are a bonus number of unblogged products, to make up for a general dearth of posts! Products used before are shown as links.

Face

Foundation: 17 Skin Perfecting in Fair.

Concealer: Sleek Hide It in shade 00. This is the first time I have used a stick concealer in years, but my normal Collection 2000 light diffusing one is getting low and I thought I’d try something a bit cheaper. This one looked a bit weird when I tested it without foundation (the C2000 one is fine on bare skin), but I was impressed with how well it worked over foundation.

Blusher: 17 Bramble Frost, link as for foundation.

Sparkly cheekbones: Sleek All That Glitters glitter gel in Gold. This is quite a subtle shimmer - one that doesn’t show up wonderfully in photos! - but maybe that’s a good thing. I prefer it to other glitter gels I’ve used, especially the fact that it goes on like sparkly moisturiser rather than glue! No white flakes here, just gold sparkles.

Eyes

Highlighter: 17 creme eyeshadow in Wonderland.

Main eye colour: Barry M Dazzle Dust 14.

Lower lid: Collection 2000 Glam Glitter in Showbiz. This one is a lot plainer (just black and silver) and less obvious than OMG!, which can work quite well in some situations. I was impressed with how it turned out that evening, although less keen when I wore it again the next day and it flaked off taking the eyeshadow from the outer corners with it!

Eyeliner: Barry M Metallic liquid eyeliner in No 1.

Mascara: No. 7 Dream Lash in Black. I can’t remember whether I’ve blogged about this one by name before - I have a tendency to rotate between No. 7 free gift mini-mazzies, forget which one I’ve used and generally take the presence of black mascara for granted in posts about eye makeup. This one does look good, though, so if I buy a No. 7 mascara in full size it is a contenter!

Eyelash sparkles: Collection 2000 Glam Glitter in OMG!. I still don’t like the name, but the product is fast becoming a favourite. I’m not sure having it on my lashes was the best idea, as my eyes did itch by the end of the evening. Nevermind, it looked great while it lasted!
