Blue and gold for Sunday shopping! I have trousers that match this look, but wasn’t wearing them. It would also co-ordinate nicely if I had to catch a train in the part of the country from whence I came, which I was also not doing, as many of these are still adorned with the old BR livery (because the company changes too fast for them to have time to repaint!). More importantly, the look includes two unblogged products - the new Sleek eyeliner and an older Collection 2000 sparkly one. Apologies for the abysmal quality of my skin and my webcam photography in the linked posts! There is no full-face shot today and that is due to me fighting a losing battle with spots…
Top eyelid, shadow: No.7 True Gold
Top eyelid, liner: Collection 2000 Glam Crystals in Night Fever (linked post talks about another Glam Crystals colour)
Bottom eyelid, shadow: the darkest shade from Collection 2000 trio Wonderland
Bottom eyelid, liner: Sleek Duo DipIt in 24 Karat
This is part of an ongoing effort to use gold eyeshadow when possible, in order to identify which products would be best for a look I’m going for for a particular event. And I’m wearing all blue clothing today, so that made blue the logical choice for colour mixing.
I’ve said before that I like the line Glam Crystals make - it does however take a bit of time and energy to get the hang of doing it neatly, and I’m not sure I managed that today. Night Fever is a bit more of a single colour than Dancing Queen, but still sparkly as anything and probably better for even glitter distribution. As far as 24 Karat goes, the colour is good but the application was quite faffy - it is a felt tip applicator, but one that dips into the liquid and is on a very long handle. This is not a product to buy for a sedate look, at any rate. Still, I like it enough to get over my disappointment that the mascara at the other end was a normal black one! This is due in part to remembering that I have a spare mazzy applicator that came with a set of brushes, and that it is about the right length to be dipped in the pot…
