A trip to the Emerald city!
Nails: Barry M no 284/Emerald Green - I’ve had the bottle for a while, since before the polishes had names, so I had to look it up on the website. This is an underappreciated gem in my collection, given that I have very few items of clothing it would match and wouldn’t wear it for certain occasions. As such, it tends to come out when I really feel like a change, or indeed like having something to blog about here. It is the paler of the two BM greens I have - the other being Racing Green, which I’ll get round to soon I promise! - and is metallic and very slightly shimmery under the right light. It feels good to look down and see that on a grey day.
Book: Playing with the Grown-Ups by Sophie Dahl. This is one of my rail station impulse buys, from the days when I was financially able to do such things. It is a beautiful but very sad story of a dysfunctional family. I swear that it was sheer luck to be reading a book that co-ordinated so perfectly with my nail polish! (Sometimes I do select them especially from my shelves to be photographed, but this wasn’t one of those times)
