Revlon Limited Edition Rosefire - a bright red with a gold ever-so-slightly sparkly shimmer which I’m not sure I caught to full effect in the photos. Nevermind. This is another discount-store find (a small shop in the Broadmarsh, I forget the name but it is in a corner opposite the turning to the bus station - the proper bus station not the sheltered side wall we NCTniks get!) which is pretty damn amazing. It is the first Revlon polish I’ve had that lives up to the 80s glamour of the shape of the bottle! I have been admiring it at what are probably inappropriate times. The shop had a few more of these limited editions, which I’m hoping haven’t all sold out by next time I have time, money and credits to make a visit there.

The book is Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson, basically a coming-of-age story but with a few extra twists and a lot of talk of pretty glass. I swear that when I started reading Wilson’s books I was the ‘right’ age to be in the target audience! But if she is going to keep writing such great stories, am I really meant to give them up? Yeah right. Teen stories are a useful way to unwind in the evening given the heavy political stuff I have to read for work! And the cover of this one happens to be a good match for my nails, so my secret is out…
